Someone recently asked me why I draw comics. This is part of a larger question as to why artists create art at all. Stephen King once famously said that he, “has no choice.” I guess I would agree with that sentiment. I draw comics because when I am working on my art I am free of all the little problems that vex us and are part of the human condition. In short, I create because it occurs to me to create.
