Page 22…so late I don’t even think my mother cares this is out!

Well, page 22 is very late with all the usual excuses (life, work, etc.) However, I returned to traditional tools with this one. When I attended Emerald City Comic Con a few weeks ago, I noticed that there was an artist that preferred to do all his breakdowns digitally, print, and then finish by hand. This is the exact opposite of what I normally do. Still, I was intrigued. After a few false starts, I managed to create a workable blue line page and ink by hand. Some stuff scanned anyway (non-photo blue indeed) but it was mostly a success. I’ll be sure to go lighter on the boarders and even lighter on the blue as well.

Additionally, the panels on this page are based on Wally Wood’s 22 Panels that Always Work. Anyone who hasn’t seen these that is a budding comic book artist needs to Google this NOW!

Enjoy!
